Synthetic filter media from BWF Envirotec guarantee clean air all over the world. With its new FoodTec®-product line, the international market leader is now specifically addressing the food industry.

Filter media used in production and processing of foods must fulfil specific requirements. Explosive, fine and also sticky and abrasive dusts represent challenges that a filter media must withstand in daily use in the food industry.

In addition to efficient cleaning of the filter bags in the plant, which ensures an optimal production process, hygiene and food-grade quality of all the components involved in the dedusting process, are a matter of course. The tried and trusted filter media from BWF Envirotec are therefore now available with a declaration of compliance for food contact. The FoodTec®-brand name stands for our product line which specifically meets the requirements of the food processing industry.

Compliance according to EU Directive 10/2011 (EU):
EU Directive 10/2011 (EU) governs the use for materials and objects made of plastic intended for contact with foodstuffs. According to this guideline, all FoodTec®-filter media used in food processing are labelled with a declaration of compliance at BWF Envirotec.

On testing by an independent external institute, the product line was certified as yielding  excellent test results: During global migration, FoodTec® falls below the legally stipulated values several times over. Even at the high test temperature of 70° C. During specific migration, FoodTec® also passed the test with outstanding analysis results, thereby naturally complying with the specifications of the German Foods and Commodities Ordinance and Directive 10/2011.
