THE SELECTION OF THE OPTIMAL FILTER MEDIA
Filter media must be tailored to each application. Lowest emission levels require a perfect combination of the needlona®-needle felt and the surface finish. Only in this way, the optimal performance of your dust collector will be reached and the emission of harmful gasses reduced to a minimum.
Our task is to create the best conditions for lowest emission. Therefore our application engineers get the most out of your dust collector. They analyse in detail the
- mechanical
- physical and
- chemical process conditions
in your dust collector. With the use of this data, a needlona®-filter media is created from countless combinations of fibre polymer, scrim and chemical finishes, individually assembled and tailored to the needs of your application.
It is a matter of course that all needlona®-filter media meet the legally permissible limits. We take on the responsibility for our customers and guarantee the conformity.
FACTORS INFLUENCING THE Choice OF THE Optimal FILTER MEDIA ARE:
- Properties of the gas stream to be cleaned
e.g. temperature and chemical composition of the gas - Properties of the dust to be separated
e.g. the chemical composition of the dust, the particle size distribution and the dust properties (agglomerating, abrasive or similar) - Process Engineering Data
e.g. the dust collector design, cleaning method and the air-to-cloth ratio - Emission values and economic factors
- Resistance of synthetic fibres to chemical influence and temperature
